Abstract:

This paper examines four constructions of globalization: These are: 1) globalization as neo-imperialism, 2) globalization as homogenization, 3) globalization as hybridization, and 4) globalization as cosmopolitanism. The paper shed lights on the historicity of the process of globalization and the emergence of these constructions in the context of South Asian Societies.
